I have enjoyed catfish, coleslaw, and hush puppies at restaurants throughout Mississippi, but none can compare to Long's. I still remember one Sunday afternoon about 20 years ago when I had an incredible meal—17 whole catfish! It's an accomplishment I haven't attempted to replicate since.
I really enjoy the coleslaw, as well as the catfish, shrimp, and fried oysters! The hush puppies are tasty too. I always look forward to dining there.
The restaurant is nice and clean, and the waitress was pleasant. However, I found the prices to be a bit high. The shrimp I ordered was undercooked, and the fried oysters were smaller than a quarter. I believe it's actually illegal to harvest oysters of that size, let alone sell them. Overall, it's a great place, but I think Troy should pay closer attention to the kitchen staff.
The restaurant is beautiful and clean, and the waitstaff is lovely. However, I found the prices to be a bit high. The shrimp were well-cooked, but the fried oysters were smaller than a quarter. I believe there are regulations against harvesting oysters that small, and it seems inappropriate to sell them at that size. Overall, it's a spacious establishment, but I think Troy should pay closer attention to the kitchen staff.
