Very fresh large oysters flown in from New Orleans! Happy hour from 11- 4pm daily with half off raw oysters and clams. We got the happy hour dozen raw oysters. They were very fresh and tender, just like earlier this year when we had them in New Orleans. Very fast and friendly service. There was no line at 1pm. This is now our go to place for raw oysters in Vegas. View all feedback.
What Lazaro Labadie doesn't like about Big Sur Oyster:
We were looking for a place with good oysters. The oysters were super small and tasted as if they had been frozen. The rest of the food was okay. We won't be back for the oysters. View all feedback.
Here we are again! In this place, you can savor the best Bouillabaisse I've ever tasted, even better than what I had in Paris and at a fancy French restaurant in Vancouver. It was absolutely delicious!
The first time I visited six months ago, I vowed never to return. However, today I decided to give it another shot, and it was a completely different experience. Chef John serves outstanding food and even offers a small spoon for tasting if you want to try a dish. I’ve had grilled cheese sandwiches with lobster from various places, and his are by far the best I've ever tasted. The shrimp cocktail features large shrimp, cocktail sauce, and a lemon. The tempura shrimp is enormous and has a fair-like aroma that takes me back to my childhood. Our meal was simply delicious! The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, but Kwan truly stands out as an exceptional server with a friendly demeanor. I'm so glad I decided to give this place another chance!
We started with a half dozen shellfish and oysters. It was my fiancée's first time trying raw oysters, and mine too! We had the blue point oysters, which are small, sweet, and have a salty finish. I think he deserves another chance to try oysters, as I don’t believe these were the best introduction. The ideal oyster should be plump, sweet, and creamy. While the shellfish were reported to be slightly sweeter, I personally prefer oysters. We paired them with horseradish and cocktail sauce, although I would have preferred mignonette sauce. We also shared the Pacific Coast shrimp rice dish, which consisted of shrimp in a tomato sauce over brown rice. It had a nice kick from the wasabi. Overall, this is a great spot for a light and affordable meal, especially if you’re in the mood for half-priced oysters and shellfish. Otherwise, it might not be worth a special trip.
