Is this place real, or did I dream it? We came to this quiet gem for lunch. Our party was treated to the most lovely setting of a large plank table under a large live oak tree, surrounded by mountain views. I think they had the best, bluesy soundtrack I've heard in a restaurant. The waitress, Fernanda, was professional and genial. There was a bocce court to entertain us while we waited for the most talented chef to prepare a several course meal catering to the preferences of each diner. On the spot, he and his assistant created truly delightful dishes. This is some of the best food I've had in a long while. Just so, so good. We had an unusual savory butternut squash soup, and rockfish on a bed of cauliflower cream. Our party consists of experienced fine diners and foodies, so it should tell you something that we returned the next day for homemade bread, perfect homemade ravioli, and a simple but also perfect almond butter cake. We were only in the valley for a short visit, and there were other places to consider, but we just HAD to come back.
A truly gorgeous natural setting dining under the oak tree at Ariete. Chef and staff outstanding. Seafood forward (where as others line up more meat forward). Ranks as one of our favorite meals in Valle De Guadalupe tastes, service, atmosphere, and value
Had a very unique and intimate experience here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant is very bare almost feels like you’re just walking into a friend’s backyard for a delicious meal. Everything was delicious, but the wait for the main course was too long in our opinion (we started feeling tired full due to the long wait) the rest of the dishes were timed perfectly and there wasn’t a single dish we would change. I wish this chef lots of success would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new culinary experience.
