All the downtown restaurants were closed at 3pm on a Saturday...who knew. Just a half mile from downtown this was a find. Doesn't open until 4:30 but was just in time for me. I had the shredded beef chimichanga and it was better than what I get in Southern California. Good service, friendly and looks new View all feedback.
What Doug W doesn't like about Escondidos:
This was the most disappointing place. No condiments. Food is poor, service slow, this place is no where near a Mexican /South West food. Don't see it lasting this year. Food is fair at best, if your hungry Long wait time at table. Oh chips are charged for. Everyone else keeps chips salsa hot sauce, eat They missed the boat View all feedback.
Could not find it....... CLOSED??? We went down the street to the Yesterday's Soda Fountain. Super nice, clean and good!
Delicious shredded beef tacos! The salsa is so fresh as well. Friendly waiter. Good experience.

Fantastic service, fantastic food and fantastic atmosphere. I was so surprised to find such an amazing restaurant in this little town! Make sure to stop by if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!
Best kept secret in Ennis. I had the pollo ala crema and it was delicious. Saw another review that said they didn't have condiments or chips. Uh... What were you smoking? We had 4 salsas and had our chips refilled multiple times. Will be back again soon!
