Reviews summary

Cotton Patch Cafe offers a mixed dining experience, with the quality of food and service varying widely. While some patrons rave about excellent dishes, like perfectly cooked steak and flavorful squash, others report issues such as slow service, food inconsistencies, and cleanliness concerns. Notably, the restaurant often relies on young staff, leading to uneven service levels. Some servers, like Alyssa and Shannon, are praised for their attentiveness and friendliness, while others struggle under rushes with minimal support. Despite its flaws, the cafe still garners loyal customers who appreciate its potential and the warm atmosphere of the community.

We had a really delicious early dinner. The Chicken Fried Chicken was hot with a crispy crust and juicy white meat. Cotton Patch finely got smart. They brought us those lovely rolls, 4 instead of 3 they used to bring. Never could figure that out for a partyof 2, 3 rolls. Now the count has evened out. Thank you!

While the server did a decent job the rest was very disappointing. The food took really long to come out and when it did only half the food was brought out. Lots of missing sides dishes. When they we?re brought out they were over cooked and cold. Stakeswas not cooked as ordered side dish that was ordered they did not even have but failed to inform us of this. The manager did herbest to accommodate these issues but still would not recommend going to this location and will not go back.

Stopped by for dinner on the way back to Houston. Found it on Google maps. The food was just ok. My Caesar salad had enough dressing for three salads, and my grilled shrimp were already cold when they arrived at the table. The fried green tomatoes weresliced too thick and weren't cooked well. The country fried bacon was interesting. Not nuts about it, but I'd order it again forsomeone to try. The dinner rolls, however, were very good. Service was slow, had to wait several minutes before we wererecognized and then seated. Waited longer than one should expect for drinks, etc. We learned that our server's name was Jay.Jay was pretty slammed. He was the only server when we arrived. I think he did pretty well, considering that he was taking careof about eight tables. One table was a party of about eight people. Eventually others joined him and the pace of service pickedup. I commend Jay for pushing through, though a little easing of the attitude we experienced when we arrived is suggested. Weknow it's not his fault the management didn't have staffing at a good level. Anyway, we talked with Jay and prayed for him andfor his grandfather. Happy to say that when we left Jay, he was smiling and in a much better mood. Hopefully he will have thehelp he needs in the future.

Great place to eat dinner. Always fresh. Steak is cooked right. Their fish is always good too. Would have given 5 stars, but sometimes the wait staff doesn't pay attention to their tables or front when people come in. Takes time to be seated even whennot so busy.

I had the Backend Tilapia and it was well done ? My other family members also enjoyed their food. Our server was great, she kept our waters flowing and she was very attentive. Although she was the only experienced server there, she kept things going. The only other server there had just completed her training. The restroom was somewhat clean but could use some deodorizer. Otherwise, it was a good place with good service.

Oh boy where do I start. Order cornbread skillet never got it no explanation Bread roll had a baked fly in it no apology or fresh ones. Country fried steak steak wasn?t fresh. Order chicken sandwich got a chicken fried steak instead. Meatloaf never had it with spicy sauce before definitely not coming back. Management no where to be found restaurant is ran by high schoolers.literally no one ate the food

We enjoyed a truly delightful early dinner. The Chicken Fried Chicken was served hot, featuring a crispy crust and juicy white meat. The service at Cotton Patch was impressive; they brought us four beautiful rolls instead of the usual three, and did so early on. I was never able to figure out why they provided an extra roll for our party of two, but it certainly added to our experience. Thank you!

The service, however, was slow. We had to wait a few minutes before realizing we needed to be seated, and the wait time for drinks and other items was longer than expected. We learned that our server’s name was Jay. He was handling eight tables when we arrived, including one large party of about eight people. Despite being the only server at the time, he managed pretty well. Soon after, more staff joined him, but the pace of service slowed down. I would recommend Jay to stay resilient, even though he displayed a bit of attitude when we first arrived. It was clear that the lack of adequate staffing wasn’t his fault. We chatted with Jay and even shared some prayers for him and his grandfather. Fortunately, when we left, Jay was smiling and seemed to be in a much better mood. I hope he gets the support he needs in the future.

While the server did a commendable job, the overall experience was quite disappointing. The food took an excessively long time to arrive, and when it did, only half of the order was served. Many of the accompanying side dishes were missing. Additionally, what we did receive was overcooked and cold. The steaks were not prepared as requested, and one of the supplements we ordered was not even available, yet we were not informed about it. The manager attempted to address these issues, but I still cannot recommend this restaurant and have no intention of returning.
