Feedback
At the Continental Divide, diners experience a mix of exquisite culinary offerings and some service-related inconsistencies. While many praises highlight the exceptional quality of dishes like the bison hanger steak and perfectly cooked scallops, there are notable concerns regarding overcooked meats and untrained staff. The chef’s engagement with patrons adds a personal touch, yet a few mishaps, such as mismanaged requests and temperature issues with sides, raise questions about overall service. Despite these shortcomings, the restaurant remains a celebrated dining destination for its unique menu and impressive wine selection, making it a noteworthy addition to the local foodie scene.
During our fly fishing trip to Yellowstone, we spent a week in Ennis and came across this restaurant while checking out reviews on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot with a group of six, allowing us to sample a diverse range of dishes. The standout items were the wagyu Bavette, the duck, and the ribs. Each dish was expertly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The service was excellent, and it was clear how much pride the chef takes in his creations. I only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our trip so we could have visited again. The Sangria was also a delightful refreshment after a long day of fishing. We can’t wait to return!
The duck entree was excellent and so were the oysters. Friendly but untrained staff. The loaded baked potato came unloaded and cold, after sending it back it was singed at the edges. The wagyu burger ordered medium rare was served well done, imagine the well done burger! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
Had the Crispy Duck and it was really good! Steak was good too. Mac and cheese was just okay.
We really enjoy having a such unique restaurant for a small town be so close to us! The service was unbeatable, and the care that goes into each dish is so wonderful. The chef (John) even came out before and after our dinner and chatted about theprocess of our dishes. The wine is a above and beyond what you would think for our small town.
Steaks were overcooked. Chef walked around after we were done with meal asking him the food was. Another member of our party indicated steaks overcooked. His response, We 'll have to try better next time. For the prices they charge, it should havebeen done correctly the first time. Will not go back.
