The staff are the abs... read more I'd whole heartedly recommend the Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis. The service was out of this world, which the hotel clearly prides itself on. The staff are the absolute best and I'll miss their company. The food (dinner and breakfast) was really delicious with a great selection on the menu of everything you'd hope to see. The room was spotless and the bed and bedding sooooo comfy. A great shower too. The hotel is in a unique, listed building that has an incredible vibe, and tons of character combining the historical with the modern very elegantly a sight to see in itself. To top it all off, the hotel is in a fab location within the town, which is a rare gem of a place, full of amazing boutique shops and independents within easy walking distance. There's great sights to see within a short drive too, including the Cliffs of Moher.

The receptionist tried to... read more The rooms and breakfast at this restaurant were overpriced for the quality provided. The room was old-fashioned and uncomfortably hot. The receptionist tried to help by providing a fan, but the plug was outdated and didn't fit. They eventually gave us an extension cord, but we had to rearrange everything on the nightstand, including the bedside lamp. The breakfast was underwhelming with no buffet and minimal food on the plate after a lengthy wait. The only redeeming quality was the friendly staff, but we do not plan on coming back.

The check-in process was smooth and the woman at the front desk was friendly. We parked in the hotel's parking lot and were given a token to exit whenever we needed. Breakfast was enjoyable, although the service was a bit slow. We did receive everything we ordered on time. In general, it was a nice stay but a bit pricey.
