Feedback
The Queen's Hotel in Ennis offers a mixed experience for guests. While some enjoyed the charming atmosphere and delicious food served by friendly staff, others experienced rude and unhelpful staff members, along with issues like noise disturbances, lack of basic amenities like hangers and bathroom shelves, and lockouts. The hotel is praised for its cleanliness, central location, and value for money, with positive mentions of the recently refurbished rooms and quality breakfast. Overall, the Queen's Hotel in Ennis has potential for improvement in customer service and attention to detail, but still manages to provide a satisfactory experience for many guests.
The worst hotel we stayed in Ireland, check in is at 4pm which is incredibly inconvenient if you have travelled a long way ,we had to hang around reception with all the other guests that where waiting for their room. As if the check in experience wasn’t bad enough we then seen the room. The rooms are dirty old and depressing, the bathroom was covered in mold the wood around the bathtub was rotting and the shower curtain was stained yellow. Avoid this hotel if you want to enjoy your stay in ennis, this place is so disgusting you will want to take a bath in bleach after your stay.
The rooms were subpar. There was no air conditioning in the room. The service was excellent. There was no hot water for a shower in the morning. The room is not worth its price. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Overall it was slightly disappointing.
Terrible experience. The window in the room was broken and didn't close all the way. Which was too bad, because noise from the club below went on until 2am forget about sleeping here on a weekend. Around 11pm, somebody from the front desk knocked on my door to ask me to pay for the room. I had to show them the credit card receipt to prove that I had already paid by card at check in. Was woken up again at 3am to the sound of somebody vomiting in the room next to mine. Truly awful, and expensive, too. I would advise staying literally anywhere else.
It does the job. The hotel is a mix of old-school and modern with the rooms recently refurbished (the bathrooms are a bit more dated). The bed felt a bit worn but it was still comfy. I didn't pay for breakfast so I can't comment on that. Soundproofing could be improved. You'll hear vehicles and people passing by, though it's mostly quiet at night. You can specify a room with a view online for a small fee.
Room was fine, dated but clean. Asked if I could check in early, but they wanted 60e to do so. Told them I was dropping off the bag and going, but was still 60e, so i left the bag with a friend. Breakfast not sure what's going on. Porridge or granola bowl, they bring out to you. No offer of any juice. Asked for eggs and sausages, brother asked for rashers, and 2 teas. Tea came in paper cups, barely any milk, breakfast then came on 1 plate! They must have thought we were going to have a romantic breakfast or something. Waiter was surprised when I asked for a 2nd plate so we didn't have to share breakfast off 1 plate. There's been minimalist and there's having a laugh!
