This is a fantastic new restaurant that we were lucky to discover. I had dinner with friends on Thursday evening, and it was an amazing experience. The beautiful decor, along with live music from the bar, created a relaxing atmosphere. The steak and wine were excellent, followed by scrumptious desserts. What User doesn't like about Potus Bar Restaurant:
Sorry chaps not a great experience. The waitress was on her first day obviously. We had to ask for the wine list three times before it arrived, when she brought the wine to the table she just poured it out without offering any tasting. English charcuterie was a bit of ham and double Gloucester for £18. Chicken wings were three caked in gelatinous BBQ sauce £14?! Mains on sea bream 0ver cooked, no sauce so a very dry... Excellent meal with good service even the restaurant and bar were busy prior to New Years celebration
On American Thanksgiving, the service was disorganized and very slow. Pre-dinner cocktails were delivered 10 or 15 minutes later, after we had completed the first course, which we had asked to be held until after our pre-dinner drinks. Later courses were late in arriving.
Food was below average. We asked for bread with our soup and they said they “didn’t serve bread”. The service was patchy and we had to wait nearly an hour between starter and main. We then got served the bill when we hadn’t asked for it. When we did request the bill it didn’t arrive despite us waiting.
Amazing experience, the food was delicious and reasonably priced too. I’ll definitely be back soon.
