The restaurant at the rocks belongs to the best restaurants in Oberberg for me definitiw! Pleasant ambiente, great creative food selection, friendly service. why, despite these lobeshymns, I only give 4 out of 5 stars? more:We ordered the cork tartar as an appetizer, which was greatly arranged so that it had been supported with refined components from pickled vegetables and crumble. what does not fit this very well is the very sweet aprikosen cream, the relatiw mostly accompanies the tatar or rather overdue. the amount of cream in relation to the other components was too high, so the proportions were not correct. the mass is too sweet for the yet very delicate corntatar, since the cream lacked the balance between acid, sweetness and sweetness, rather the whole dish becomes very sweet. a very nice dish. As the main course we ordered a whirlwind and a duet of laughter. Again, both dishes were great dressed and provided with creative components. both great dishes, but also here a small critique point: the meat was relatiw bissfest and not as tender as it is expected from fresh wild. the sauce had little deep and rather a bitter burnt taste. the sose to the wild is for me the absolute gamechanger , which unfortunately did not work completely. Here I wish a tasty, traditionally dressed and hearty jus. Otherwise there was a delicious creamy puree and great, yet slightly bite-resistant vegetables.The fish was well served glassy cooked with a delicious foam. as with all foods, the sweet of the dishes was somewhat too dominant and there was a hearty salty note, which is naturally also tasteful. in the fish would be somewhat less of the compott perhaps the solution, combined with a more salty acidic component.That sounds like much criticism, but shouldn't be. the notes are to be understood as a constructive feedback from a lover for fine dining with culinary experience. all in all it was a great evening with great food. you can see that the chef has superior craft skills. the taste is partly still somewhat improvementable, since the individual components were often very sweet, so the court in totalness then looks very sweet. the creativity of the respective action card is really worth highlighting here and almost unique in oberberg. courts like crasss or steak does not need a restaurant of the upscale and ambitious cuisine like this of my opinion.Everything in all, I see extremely good approaches that need a little bit of fine ground on the last 10. tastes your dishes a bit more courageous and with a little more salt. the restaurant is absolutely on the right way and I hope you develop a little further. I observe the development of definitiw and will recommend the restaurant on the rocks my friends and related. Of course I come back and hope that next time I can draw the 5/5 stars card.
100 recommended: beautiful environment, friendly service and especially a very fine filetsteak and large fish. many small loving details, fresh ingredients, kittens for billing, greeting from the kitchen etc. we were delighted and came back safely.
Cozy ambiente, very nice staff, a little raised kitchen, fresh very good ingredients. surprising for the palate. only one example, the mouthpieces in the salad are soaked in fresh orange juice. very tasty. is also noticeable in price, but not overpriced.
Great eating, really appealing beautiful ambiente. attentive staff. again and again, why go to the far away when the good is so close.
