I really enjoyed my visit to this garden center. The facility is beautiful, the plants are healthy, and the prices are very reasonable. I found that most of the plants were cheaper here compared to the nearby large garden club. I also appreciate that this shop is dog-friendly, making it the perfect place for me to shop for gardening supplies with my furry friend. Thank you. View all feedback.
What Nigel D doesn't like about Wolden Garden Centre:
This is a cafe in a well-appointed garden centre which has a wide assortment of flowers, equipment and furniture, plus BBQs, to suit most gardens. Sadly, the restaurant did not match the quality of the garden offering. The food and drinks at Greenhouse Cafe are satisfactory and seem to be quite popular, given the frequent crowds. However, it can get busy and may result in a wait. Unfortunately, the only restroom facilities are located a significant distance away, halfway down the car park by Woldens Garden Centre. On recent visits, we found the toilets to be dirty with a lack of soap, and having to wait in the cold outside. Despite being told that the toilets are cleaned every morning, it seems that this may not be the case. It is disappointing to see such a lack of basic cleanliness and amenities like soap.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. I had been impressed during my previous visit, but this time the quiche I ordered was dry and tasteless. The supposed side salad was so small it was more like a garnish. When I requested some mayonnaise to help with the dryness of the quiche, I was told it would cost an additional 50 pence. Considering the prices they charge, a small portion of mayonnaise would not have been unreasonable. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
Unfortunately, my experience at this cafe was a nightmare. I waited a long time before being served, and even a mini quiche took 20 minutes to heat up. When it finally arrived, it was cut into small pieces, thrown onto a salad, and drenched in vinegar. It was not only unpleasant but also overpriced. I would recommend looking for other dining options nearby instead.
Purchased two Christmas lights a few days ago which i wanted to return, there was no receipt however you can clearly see the sticker that its from Wolden 's. The manager sue was so incredibly rude she was giving terrible body language and her tone of voice was horrible! They refused to give a return because an item must be 'faulty ' apparently you are not allowed to change ur mind! Absolutely sick! They ganged up on me and my daughter! Never returning to this company, and its staff is all about money! They don 't care about customer satisfaction!

Sadly, the restaurant did not match the quality of the garden offering. The cafe has a pleasing outlook on a raised platform overlooking part of the centre and the menu boasts a varied selection of food. However, we were disappointed with what we ordered. Our grand-daughter’s cheese sandwich had little taste. A small portion of limp salad accompanied our baked potatoes. The tuna arrived and it tasted OK, but the quantity was small. The baked potato had a pleasing outer shell but was mushy inside. What’s more, the price was high. So, would I go back? A definite no for food but perhaps for a coffee if I am visiting the garden centre.
