I love this place! They prepare first class dishes, they have a nice menu, the chef chef at this place is well trained, I enjoy a lot of trying their food. eating is always fresh, the service to the customers is pleasant. I often eat in this restaurant and I wasn't even dissatisfied. I recommend it without delay. View all feedback.
What shereec743 doesn't like about The Grange Indian:
Eat out to help out! This restaurant was ok! There was certainly NO social distancing because every table was full. No masks or visors worn by the staff either... Now for the food. Portion sizes were mean or deliberately reduced to make extra profit in this difficult time? Ordering mains, side dishes, rice and bread and leaving feeling that you could eat more is never good! Would I return? No. View all feedback.
Has gone downhill recently. Not sure if the management or chef has changed but in the last 2 months it has not been very good. We normally eat in our get takeaway at least once a week but are going to now have to find somewhere else. The salmon tikka used to be excellent but is now pretty much unedible. There was 6 of us and all the chicken dishes were chewy and dry and just generally not very good. It used to be excellent so it’s very disappointing.
One of the worst Indian takeaways, we have ever had. So much sugar in the curries. The butter chicken and mattar paneer taste that same. No flavour in the food. As Indians, to call this Indian food is an insult.
We decided to try the Grange after previous order 8 years ago when we had to add our own salt and pepper to make it palatable we ordered chicken madras and dhal I 'm afraid to say nothing has changed the chicken looked like had been boiled in water, the sauce was bland and watery more akin to what I imagine a cheap jar of cook in sauce looks/tastes like . Dhal was thin bland and tasteless. So disappointed, not sure if they realise that customers want authentic Indian food not this adapted version will try them again in 8 years time hopefully they may have improved and serve the authentic food they probably eat at home.
Have been to The Grange many times before, and will continue to return many times in the future! By far the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted and all staff are so friendly and welcoming.
One of the best curry eating experiences I and my companions have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Let me start off with the weak points as there weren’t many. Slightly on the expensive size, not the most amount of sauce in portions but enough meat (pause). No hot towels at the end. Naan slightly too crispy. Now on to what really matters the food. Unbelievable passanda got me dreaming. Decadent creaminess, excellent quality lamb. Not only the best passanda I’ve had but up there with the greatest individual curry dishes. Bhuna, again little to fault. Fabulous sweet and sour taste with enough zinggg. Tried various other dishes too all of which slapped harder than a middleaged Russian man in the world slap fighting championship. We love you the Grange, we do…
