beautiful sunny day with a walk around the ground to see over the lake and visit the large house, and of course a coffee in the sun. if they have not been, only to drive and then only to drive, it is worth it View all feedback.
What Peter M doesn't like about Park Cafe:
Almost everything we ordered from the menu was disappointing, and the server was unfriendly and impolite. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the chaotic and unwelcoming Fawlty Towers. I would not recommend this place at all. View all feedback.
This is a lovely setting and a perfect place to stop off on a walk or take friends for a coffee and lunch. The food is OK although the salad, on this occasion, couldn 't be revived by the dressing. The girl behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. The other guy behind the counter was absolutely obnoxious, his rudeness was beyond laughable. I can only assume he had a dreadful day or has other issues. For this reason I will not be returning and can only offer the advice 'look for another non customer facing job mate '.

There were 8 of us and I suggested it for a quick stop (it was my birthday!! . It used to be an excellent place and I was very embarrassed at taking people here. I was charged just under £50 for inedible rubbish. It took over 2 hours to get the food and drinks out. The only decent thing was the chips and 2 of the paninis. A raspberry muffin was so stale it was inedible, the girl microwaved the flatbreads that should have gone with my salad so they were rock hard etc etc. Two of the hot drinks took nearly 1.5 hours to come out. The girl was on her own and couldn't cope. She could only offer a very limited choice of what was shown on the menu. She should have said drinks only. I don't think she had had any training. I would like someone to contact me from there but I don't expect I'd ever get any money back. I have never written a negative review but I was so cross about it I felt I should make a comment. Such a shame because it could be so much better.
The toast is served as plain dry bread. It appears they do not have a toaster. The milkshake advertised in the window is different from what you actually receive and there is no listed price. The milkshake listed on the menu board inside is a bottled one. The staff's English proficiency is lacking. The sandwiches are average and overpriced at £3.50 for a cheese and tomato sandwich. It seems they could benefit from some competition to improve their offerings. I am surprised they were able to obtain a license.
Upon entering the cafe, we received a friendly greeting and a welcoming smile. I decided to order a tuna melt panini and a cup of coffee. The food arrived promptly, accompanied by a slightly wilted salad that was saved by the delicious oil and vinegar dressing. The panini and coffee were both average in taste. Despite this, the outdoor seating provided a great view of golfers in action, making it a pleasant place to sit and dine.
