Nondescript location, but the best sushi in Encinitas. The choices were expensive, and varied. My daughter has been going there for years and it was her recommendation to have dinner there. I would recommend this to anybody who loved sushi. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi Blue Fin:
We have sushi as well as bovine teriyaki and chicken tonkatsu boxes. Can't really judge the sushi, it was taken out and seemed like it was decent to eat. The boxes were just terrible. Not even a few grains of salt, no taste at all. If you're here, stay at the sushi. Food: 1/5 View all feedback.
This place has excellent fish and technique. The rice is . Everything was great and excellent service!
Nice staff, clean and quick service. Food sadly was not good. Didn’t like the udon broth, didn’t like the California rolls, didn’t like the lunch special, fish was chewy, didn’t even like their ginger. Our whole table mutually agreed nothing we ate tasted good… Hope they improve…
Great food, super slow service and the server never checked on us. 2nd time there, that gave my seat at the sushi bar away, then asked me to wait another 30 minutes…fail! Walked out. 3rd time here. Seated on time, not busy at all, took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. Still waiting to order food, going on 35 minutes. 3 strikes…
The meal exceeded my expectations, as a sushi aficionado this meal curbed my cravings at least for the day. The seafood was fresh and the employees were happy, easy going and hosted a welcoming environment. I will go back again
Ever since the original owner left, this place has not been the same. To make matters worse, one of the waitresses berated and screamed at my wife in front of all the customers because of a misunderstanding with our take out order. We have since not been back.
