Nestled along the scenic Highway 101 in Leucadia, this charming café boasts an extensive menu of freshly prepared delights, from pastries to quiches. Diners rave about the exceptional coffee and delectable almond croissants, despite some concerns about high prices. While the ambiance is cozy and ideal for people-watching, diners have noted that service can falter during peak hours, leading to longer waits and occasional dish disappointments. Was Mike Ryan at French Corner a mag?
Great pastries, proper croissants, and a delicious and surprisingly well-balanced almond croissant. Quiches are solid as well, although the dough was a little on the dry side the flavor was excellent. Great value as well especially for the area. View all feedback.

What Helena Schwarte dislikes about French Corner:

This is a popular small coffee shop located on a main road. I have to say, the prices for the baked goods here are incredibly high. Paying $6 for a mandel croissant that looks like it was topped with frangipane on a Costco croissant felt like an exaggerated price.

The food is decent, but I wouldn't recommend going here during peak hours. I ordered two crepes and waited 30 minutes without any sign of them. It seemed like they had skipped my order entirely. I waited an additional 10 minutes, but there was no real progress. The staff appeared too overwhelmed to provide proper service when the restaurant was busy.

The coffee here is excellent, and the baked goods are light and delightful. I stopped for some ice cream and enjoyed watching the world go by. It's lovely to sit outdoors. All the pastries are delicious, with a European touch.

Outside seating with your favorite dish, what more could you ask for. I pop into this little space every so often, and have been coming here since 2015. Come pick out your fav dish and enjoy!
