Excellent solution for a quick lunch. Very pleasant location with tables both outside and inside. Easy informal environment. You order at the counter. Very varied choice of dishes from the more classic fish chips to ceviche. There is the possibility of composing the meal with the Pick a Style option which allows you to choose how to have the fish (Tacos, Sandwich, Salad or Plate). Excellent quality and fast service. line out the door for incredibly slow pay first service. Like really...just go watch a McDonald's for tips on how to take orders. I sat in line for 20 minutes as there are literally 20 tables open. View all feedback.
The line to order was long but other than that it was a great place to eat! All the dishes we ordered were great and had great prices with quality food. Will eat here again definitely
The food is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly and trustworthy! The shrimp tacos are excellent, and the garlic butter corn tortillas are a must-try. Their margaritas are also top-notch—no sour mix here! Employee Ryan is particularly impressive. I accidentally left my wallet at the register after placing my order, and he went out of his way to find me and return it. This might not seem like a big deal for someone who doesn’t carry cash, but I had $3,500 in there. If he were anything less than a great guy or if he was frustrated with his job, I might have lost that money for good. I genuinely appreciate his integrity in a situation where many people wouldn’t have acted the same way. A big thanks also to Evan for the amazing shrimp appetizer. Everything was delicious! I’ll definitely be back and will recommend Encinitas Fish Shop to everyone I know.

The swordfish sandwich was fantastic! I would definitely return.
We had Ahi tacos and catches of the day Halibut fish -n-chips. Both were absolutely delicious! The clam chowder was butter-ly delicious! We sat outside, and enjoyed ourselves.
