An astonishing yet considerate dining experience. This restaurant consciously dedicates itself to outstanding food and exceptional service. It's a cozy spot that can accommodate just a few dozen guests at most. They excel at crafting dishes that enhance the overall experience. The sashimi we had was incredibly fresh and buttery; each bite was more delightful than the last. The staff was patient, attentive, and friendly, making for a fantastic culinary journey. I can't wait to return!
This place is the real deal. Enjoying the food here truly showcases an appreciation for the craft. The selection of fish is outstanding, featuring some varieties I had never encountered before. Unlike other establishments, they really focus on enhancing the flavors of the fish rather than leaving them bland. Every piece of sushi—along with the rice and soy sauces—boasts nuance, depth, and fantastic flavor combinations. I was particularly impressed by the vegetarian maki; it was just as delicious as any of the fish options.
I was fortunate enough to dine here on Saturday. The seating options are limited, with just the sushi bar inside and one or two tables outside. We arrived right when they opened and ordered the Sushi Nigiri Set. You have the option to let the chefs choose for you or select the pieces yourself. Since it was our first time, we decided to let the chefs take the lead, and then everyone ordered an additional set featuring some of our favorites and a few items we hadn't tried yet. The toro and trout really stood out. The belt fish had a lovely smoky flavor that was delightful. Each piece was seasoned individually, so there was no need for soy sauce. This place does accept takeout orders, which I think reflects just how good the food is. It’s definitely worth the wait.
Some of the best, non-pretentious, no Frills sushi in the Bay Area. I love that they marinate the sushi rice and add a little wasabi between fish and rice. Also the fat tuna nigiri is heavenly.
Amazing sushi! So fresh and unique. I had their nigiri special and the 16 piece chef choice sashimi, everything was great. The price was also affordable for the excellent quality, and the packaging was beautiful. I would definitely recommend.
