We have stopped here many times the past few years. One of our sons lives on German Lake near Elysian. When we are heading back home after a day at the lake, my wife always says we need to stop for ice cream. And, there is only one place for good ice cream...Scoops in Elysian! In the summer they hire several college students that do a great job of scooping the ice cream, and they are also friendly. The owners run the place in the Fall after school starts and they are just as friendly. Wish it was open all year long.
It was a wonderful family outing! We enjoyed delicious ice cream and there were plenty of fun activities for the kids.
Our first time here and probably our last. We weren't greeted, instead we were rushed to order and were spoken to very rudely by a younger girl with glasses. If you treat customers with that much disrespect maybe you should look elsewhere for a job. The ice cream was fine but the employees were all rude instead of warm and welcoming.
