We had my son’s 44th birthday there this evening, plus my granddaughters boyfriend was 17 today. 10 of us were served. Very courteous waitress when they brought out the hats sang, staff was smiling. Food as always very good. Glad they’re in Elwood not far to go. View all feedback.
What Noneya Business doesn't like about El Canelo Mexican:
The tacos were very bland, so were the chicken quesadillas. Absolutely no flavor. Do not recommend. Not even the chili rellenos was good. Way too much batter and a tiny pepper with little cheese. Huge disappointment. I was hoping for some flavorful Mexican and ended up with no seasoning at all. Service and atmosphere was ok though it was not at all busy. View all feedback.

My favorite mexican food! chicken nachos and spaanish rice always spot on!! quantity is never lacking.
Nice little Mexican spot in a small town. The food was good, but I wanted something else instead. Chip and Salsa was on fire, so all will be going back!
Best Mexican restaurant in the area! Fast and affordable food with great service. Would highly recommend. Try the Loco
