We ate a very tasty meal... read more For a Brit abroad this is super quirky. No English spoken, but very friendly. Food is good and plentiful, though with no veg or salad. We ate a very tasty meal (calamares and then pork fillet), and the cost was Ok. Lots of locals dining here which is always a good sign. The best experience will come if you can speak some Portuguese.

It costs 15€ at lunch on week days an... read more At this place they offer a menu and they really want you to have it. It includes the bread, a main, a dessert and a drink. It costs 15€ at lunch on week days and 16€ for dinner and on weekends. We ordered individual dishes. We also had a bottled wine. There were no prices for the wine bottles. The food was average. We wanted to pay with card and the man said that they were having trouble with the connection (I’ve read it in previous comments as well). No receipt and he didn’t ask if we wanted one. Typical in tax evading places. In the end, we paid 40€ for very average food. I don’t recommend this place at all. Inside Elvas there are awesome places. Go to Adega, O Lagar or Acontece. So much better!
