It’s incredibly disappointing to have this experience with Restaurant Kamo, especially considering its Michelin star and reputation. Their reservation system is clearly unreliable, something the staff openly admitted is a known issue. Despite being aware of the problem, no meaningful solution was offered. We were told to call on the day to see if we could be squeezed in, which we did, only to be told there was no availability. That was the extent of the assistance. What’s most concerning is the complete lack of accountability or effort to resolve the situation. For a restaurant operating at this level, a malfunctioning booking system combined with indifferent customer service is simply unacceptable. A Michelin star should reflect excellence not only in the kitchen, but in the overall guest experience, and this fell far short. Unfortunately, this experience showed a disappointing lack of professionalism and care.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Brussels. We got the grand menu and everything was delicious. I recommend a seat at the counter.
I love this place that is always faithful to its reputation. Fine and varied tastes, simple but beautiful presentations, we are each time delighted with its passage to the table. The leader is precise and meticulous. Ask to sit at the bar when you book, you can then admire the preparations for meals. A true journey of papillae!
We should be proud and lucky to have such a wonderful place to dine and discover Japanese authentic cuisine in a culinary usually “poor” Brussels!
If there is a number 1 in Japanese gastronomy in Europe that is worth a visit, it is Kamo. Kamo, the chief, prepares you extraordinary Menus that will open the door of your senses. Affordable lunch otherwise in the evening is very expensive. Yes Kamo has a Star and merit! Tip: call one week in advance to book
