So much meat my bread could not hold my pulled pork in the sandwich ordered, I did have leftovers for days however which I made into other meals and for the price that was good for anyone but on flavor it was not for me on repeat. I don't like that my bread was so saturated it was soggy and deteriorated to not edible really so I ate my sandwich mostly with a fork. They maybe need a thicker bread. If they are going to... What Zach McGohan doesn't like about Smokehouse Bbq:
Every other time we have visited has been great. This last time, however: (1) our pulled pork sandwich was just pulled pork, no bun; (2) that pork was very overcooked and tough; (3) our cowboy fries pork was fine, except that half of it was fat; (4) the fries themselves tasted and felt like they were raw potatoes and were very soggy; (5) and our sides were wrong on our combo meal. In the end, we ate less than half of... View all feedback.
Not great. Wouldn't buy again. Nice people but bad bbq. Very dry and way too much mesquite.
I was coming in from a long drive and wanted to try bbq, as I've see the smokehouse before, this was the perfect time. They we're just starting to get busy, however the line wasn't long. I ordered the combination dinner which came with beef brisket, ribs, and the sides coleslaw and beans, I also got a side of fries. The brisket was tender but for me lacked flavor, this was the same for the ribs, I would have liked more sauce, or a side of sauce, I also expected more smoke flavor. The coleslaw was good, and loved the beans. The fries were a pleasant surprise, just the way I like them. I think the value was good, and with sauce would have brought the flavors together more. Still a decent bbq.
I've always loved the smokehouse, its one of the few places I missed when I moved away. We were so excited to eat here, but this was so insanely disappointing. It was SO much more expensive (like $15 for a BBQ chicken sandwich) and the food was ok at best. The ribs were so tough and we had to fight to pull the meat off. Nothing fall off the bone about this. It had a smokey flavor, but was empty otherwise. I don't know if that will make sense to other people. But it was bland with a smokey flavor. The potato salad was bland, the brisket was bland but without the smokey flavor, and the cornbread was good, but cold. The beans were really good and the spicy bbq chicken sandwich was good but only on top because there was only a small amount of sauce, and yet it was completely soggy on bottom somehow. Flavor good but super not worth $15. I'm so disappointed.

If they are going to use that amount of meat.
Holy cow! (Pun not intended but it fits? smoked brisket smoked bbq pulled pork sandwich smoked chicken pineapple coleslaw cowboy fries...what?!? Yes! they even have potato salad etc if you are itching for that too.... So I wanted to try a variety of things and sizes to see what they offer and boy howdy do they deliver! Their portion size is by weight and it is huge for the price no skimping on portions here! They even sell their house bbq sauce by the pint so if you want some fresh smoky sweet extra as a gift (that's why I bought one or just for yourself later I highly recommend getting some! They even tossed in a generous side of smoked meat for my pup who wouldn't stop talking to them as my window rolled down! Thank you so much for his experience and we will be back soon!
