What anna2b doesn't like about The Old Crown:
The landlord was grumpy and had a lot to drink, refused service for no reason- even after a sensible conversation. Staff understood that the landlord was “often like this”. Staff members seemed fed up with his behaviour. Landlord ruined our evening, calling my best friend a “stupid idiot” right up in her face. Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback. drove came a few times here and didn't really see an appeal for me, then one day comes out the sun and boooom! the old krone makes sense. Nestled by the river, this charming historic pub offers a delightful blend of tradition and comfort, boasting a beautiful outdoor seating area with views of the Thames. Visitors appreciate the extensive selection of real ales and inviting atmosphere, often enhanced by friendly staff. However, experiences can be hit or miss: while many rave about the food quality and cleanliness, inconsistent service has raised concerns among some patrons. Despite mixed reviews, the location remains a popular stop for walkers and locals alike, making it a quintessential relaxing spot for those looking to savor a drink in a picturesque setting.
