We ate at Pearl of China with our family for dinner. The food was disappointing. The dumplings were very mediocre tasting like they were bought from Costco. The Singapore fried rice was too heavily seasoned with curry powder. The Sichuan shrimp had no heat whatsoever. We asked for chili oil and were promptly charged for it. Ridiculous. We have visited a few times. The food and service has always been brilliant. Tonight, we had a booking for my son. It was his birthday. I mentioned that in the booking. When we arrived, we were taken to our table, that was dressed with a birthday helium balloon and birthday banners. Such a lovely touch, really made my son smile. Highly recommend! See you very soon.
