Sandwiches with unusual and tasty fillings, the best and lightest scones I have ever sampled and the most delightful little original pastries. Add to this a good choice of teas and a Bellini to kick it all off and you have a delightful afternoon. The service was friendly and attentive and my only criticism was the price. It certainly isn't cheap at £26.50 per head £36.50 if you have a champagne tea) but we were led to understand that they are looking to offer larger group discounts and possibly a slightly cheaper non alcohol version. We really enjoyed our afternoon and feel that Layla's afternoon tea is worth a visit.

The restaurant was very busy but service did not suffer as a result. My one negative comment is the music which seemed to get louder as the evening progressed. My friend and I found it difficult to hear each other and so I think this venue suits a younger crowd particularly as there is a bar at the front.

I am extreme... read more Based on a friend's recommendation, I selected this restaurant for its cocktail bar. Since it was my birthday, I also decided to have dinner there. I am extremely pleased with my choice as the experience was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. The food was incredibly delicious, with a wide selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. Overall, they made my birthday very special.
