Fairmile - Elmbridge
Fairmile
Description
In the heart of Cobham, this pub/restaurant offers a mixed dining experience. While some patrons enjoy the warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and a menu that includes praised dishes like fish and chips, others express disappointment with the food quality and slow service during quiet times. Reports of insufficient heating and inconsistent portion sizes mar the experience. However, the attentive staff and ample free parking are notable positives. Whether it's a family gathering or a casual meal, there's potential for enjoyment, but improvements in kitchen efficiency and food consistency could elevate the overall visit.

Cobham has lots of restaurant options at the same price point. There is no excuse to come here for food. Pizza on the kids menu was absolutely disgusting. Toddler wouldn’t eat it, wife tried it and instantly recoiled, I did the same. It looks like a small open top pie filled with disgusting tomato sauce and what can only be the cheapest ultra processed cheese on this otherwise lovely planet. Drinks order only taken for adults then server disappeared. No starters were available for some reason? The beef burger was bit like dog food but generally good taste 4/5. Steak and ale pie was the most bland I’ve ever had with an unwanted tang in the after flavour and the pastry wasn’t cooked so it all tasted like pastry dough. The chips that came with it didn’t seem right. Maybe a bad recipe, over cooked or reheated? Not good. The skinny fries were good though they came with the burger. After this we’d need our heads checked to get a dessert and prolong this disappointment. Don’t come here. We didn’t bother complaining because anywhere selling this quality food isn’t getting a second chance. Enjoyable Porsche meeting though! Recommend only getting drinks. No issues outside the restaurant other than a slow queue but it was very very busy! Server was friendly. Decor was as expected. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
