Was Alize Sipes at Bergkaiser a mag?
We had lunch here twice on the recommendation of the ski guide who said the people tend to wait to forget Kaiser Lounge Restaurant above. We sat in the first visit as it was windy and cold outside. We had a very nice lunch with drinks...for nine people for 200 €. It was so good that on our last day, which was sunny, we sat on the balcony and all had goulash stew and beers up to seven of this day for again €190. Again... View all feedback.

Great food and fantastic views. Easter Sunday great atmosphere with DJ music. What is that?

About 10 guests. About 10 waiters. Wait about 10 min to get menu card (after request). Ten minutes. No one came. Bad Management! Too many people in service!

This is the top of the Hartkaiserbahn funicular from Ellmau. Three chairlifts arrive at the same spot so it can get busy, but it’s big enough to cope. In fact it seemed almost empty when we arrived mid morning. Tremendous view of St Johann across...the valley, and the Wilder Kaiser from the panorama bar. There’s an escalator to the loo very civilised when most places ask you to clump up and down stairs in big rigid plastic boots. Generally I prefer waiter service trying to balance a tray of stuff in the aforesaid skiboots is no fun. They do have a waiter service area, hidden behind a curtain and closed on the day we were there. My brother in law claims never to stop at a self service place, but I suspect he only stops at places where he isn't banned. The self service area here is a puzzlement of separate counters serving different things. So you queue up at the food counter for food, the drinks counter for beer, the coffee counter for coffee. Then you queue to pay. It’s a bit too complicated for me. Cappucino 2.90 Tea 2.10

This is my favorite restaurant in the ski world. It's so big that we never had problems finding a place to sit down. There are clothes hooks everywhere. It is best about the toilet: it is served both by escalators and by a lift... there are no deadly stairs to climb. The food is also good. Goulash soup, apple strudel, grostl, carving and hot chocolate are all very beautiful and of good size. Although at a peak and offers excellent views, its prices are not worse than other places.
