large selection of cupcakes and broth, but it seems that they close? call ahead, they were a sign on the door and said they are closed while they give him a new look, but sounds as if they were done. everything was cleared out in the office and so on. View all feedback.
What Amie Welch doesn't like about Buettners Sugar N Spice Bakery:
I tried many of her baked goods and was very satisfied until I ordered a cake for a special occasion. The cake looked absolutely beautiful, but it tasted terrible. It was as dry as the desert and nobody could eat it. I was so disappointed and embarrassed. I'd be better with a big y cake. View all feedback.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of cupcakes and broth, but it appears they might be closed for renovations. It's best to call ahead, as there was a sign on the door indicating that they are temporarily closed for updates. It seemed like they were going out of business, as everything was cleared out from the premises.
I have tried many of her baked goods and was generally quite pleased until I ordered a cake for a special occasion. The cake was visually stunning, but unfortunately, it tasted awful. It was incredibly dry, like the desert, and no one could eat it. I was left feeling very disappointed and embarrassed. I honestly would have preferred a store-bought cake.
They have an awesome assortment of baked goods here, which rotates daily. You can find everything from croissants, to danishes to cookies and more. The muffins are always good, buttery, and moist. The almond croissant is A-MAZING. If they have it, get it. I tried the sausage and cheese muffin once, and it was good except for an off, bitter flavor it seemed to have. The danishes are average. All in all, really nice place, especially in the sticks of Ellington. I would love to have the chance to try one of their cakes, I would be willing to bet they do a great job. I've been back, I'll be back.
While I was there, another customer bought cupcakes for her daughter, who was having a tough day at home and often comes in weekly for her treats. She also mentioned that the bread is fantastic. The location is easily accessible, near Vernon and Blue Seal, with plenty of parking available. If you want to sit down and enjoy your sweets, there’s also ample seating. I’ll update this review once I dive into the cakes and other delicious offerings!
The OPEN sign looked and stopped. they were too bad. if you close for the day, you should take the shield or the flag. no sugar n spice for me.
