Uconn Dairy - Storrs

A delicious ice cream shop at UCONN. This was completed by my beautiful niece who just this year. There is a bar-height table and chairs inside. There was no line when we came and it went pretty fast. The price for each blade is very reasonable. I recommend this Dairy Bar.

After Rave reviews, I was super excited. I even saw people in the parking lot load their coolers after a long distance for the purpose of storing. They noticed I was out of town and told me I was there for a special treat! The service on this cloudy cool day was fast and the staff was very friendly and patient as I thought about my options on the counter. Maybe it was the mistake of ordering a milkshake and not just the ice cream, but... the shake was just like sweet whole milk. Rich in taste, but not almost thick enough. I ordered the Vanilla Peanutbutter Swirl. Unfortunately, the peanut butter oil tasted old/ground. I couldn't finish my $6 shake.

If at uconn, that's a must. Homemade, creamy, rich.... really good. Also, not many options when you are on Storrs.

Being better and better every year. I worked there and it has changed so much since then. I love how the milk bar improves with time, but still brings me back to my college days. They continue to add new flavors and various options. The view area on the back is great to see how it goes from the milk on the hill to the ice in your cup.

Delicious local ice cream! Always great flavor selections, and lines usually go pretty quick when they get busy. A go-to for us every summer!
