This restaurant was great, my first time in a hot pot restaurant. The truth was great to try many different ways.
I liked the concept, but the food is all cooked and has no taste. The pictures are a little fraudulent.
The crabs and shrimps are not fresh. Dessert and fruit are not very appealing. Overall, it is too expensive.
Exciting alternative to routine eating. The change tones and the “conveyor belt” approach are entertaining. Our group tried most of everything and everything came away feeling it was a fun and tasty experience. Sauces are unforgettable. Many seafood, a lot of protein. Definitely worth a try. When we noticed that we were the only non-Asiates, we knew we found a winner!
I think hot n roll hot pot is probably the best of Catonsville/Ellicott city hot pot spots. Standard selection of broth, good sauce bar, large cold bar of ingredients. the great advantage for hot n roll is the active ingredient selection and that they can take what they want. for example, they have a huge selection of battle and while I would not do a series of them, I can literally take a piece of everyone here and find out what my favorites are. the Sichuan beef was very anesthetic and spicy and they have the best garnel paste they use to make fresh garnels. service is great with really nice people and they check on them several times thru the meal. they have just renovated, so it is grounded, but it remains a modern neutral feeling. When I first went up to see the windows I had beaten over, I was sad as I liked the place when I had eaten just before the closed. but they said they were back, and they are, and do really good work.
