We didn’t like anywhere on the main road as it was to busy... read more Just got into Ella with my partner and daughter and first thing in mind was to find somewhere to eat. We didn’t like anywhere on the main road as it was to busy, to loud and just to touristy. So we found AK ristoro on happy cow and seemed it was away from the busiest area of town and had some good reviews so we decided to check it out. First impressions was very welcoming greeted from the entrance and taken to our table. Decor is nice and the restaurant is very ambient. Food is westernised food which we were looking for anyways after being in Sri Lanka for two weeks we were craving some pasta. We ordered the pasta Melanzane along with some sides and a fresh mix salad. A few nice dishes just wished they were more of a portion for the price we paid. The mix salad wasn’t all that I thought it was a bit confused having apple and just random ingredients (could of been coz I veganised the dish and had no dressing) Other then that we were satisfied with the food and service and left with smiles on our faces. PS we even came back the next night.

Veggie springrolls and tomato soup were very good as well! Staff was familiar with veganism. And the wifi was pretty fast too :

They got comdortable sitting options and the interieur looks very cozy. The waitress explained us the daily favourite and we asked for vegan options. So it was no problem and we got an amazing fresh mixed salad with a great pasta. The price for the whole dinner was fair and good valued! We would come definitely again.

If you want a change of cruise, this is the perfect alternative to Sri Lankan. Our waiter Yohan Dino was super helpful and recommended a delishous red wine thank you.
