Charming small-town atmosphere. We popped in for dinner, and it happened to be chicken night on Thursday. The broasted chicken was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the chicken ranch wrap, which was enormous! The beer was served cold, and the food was fantastic without breaking the bank. The service was excellent too! View all feedback.
What Lisa G doesn't like about Spink Cafe:
We ordered all you can eat fish. Unfortunately the waitress never came back to the table to ask if we wanted anything else. Which is fine, because we were served fish soaked in grease and tasteless coleslaw. How do you make tasteless coleslaw? I went there hungry, left hungry and my clothes smell like grease. Now I remember why we haven't gone there for 10 years. I am good for another 20. View all feedback.
I love this place. Family own and operated and that is quite obvious based on the service and quality of the food. Nothing fancy. Very down home. Prime rib special is my favorite. This place is a small town gem. Jeans and a t-shirt is standard dress.
I am much bias as my parents used to own it and is now owned and operated by my brother and his wife and family. But totally honest when I say the broasted chicken is the best I have ever had and the macaroni salad! And the mixed basket is a must try. The Buffet is very good too!
I was impressed enough. Mom, little cousin, and I were in the area doing a little geocaching and antiquing. I actually found the place via Yelp. Cute little Mom n' Pop place. I had the special that was written on the chalkboard; chicken bacon ranch wrap. It was good! Their ranch is VERY good. (I'm a ranch snob. Mom got the grilled cheese a side salad. She enjoyed her meal. She said it wasn't anything overly special, but she left satisfied and full. My 9yo cousin got a kids cheeseburger, fries, and a treat. (Treat turned out to be a large laffy taffy. She didn't say much about her food, but she ate every bite. And she isn't always the best eater. Place is very homey and small-town, but it's clean. Restrooms are clean. There's some cute/silly decor. Place only does lunch dinner. I noticed they do a lot of to-go orders.
Definitely still one of my favorites! I visited last Saturday and had the prime rib. It was awesome. The salad bar is always fresh and the rolls are amazing! The staff is always polite and the people who frequent there are so nice and even very understanding about the fact that my four year old was a little crabby. I recommend going there if you are passing through or if you live nearby.
We stopped in here for dinner on our way through South Dakota. What a treasure! The people were so friendly! The prices were reasonable. The place was clean. There were homemade options that we enjoyed. A perfect stop on our travels!
