A location that has stayed in business for years. I recall coming here as a kid for my favorite, sesame chicken. They are still one of the best Chinese spots around the area. I prefer this location over the Richmond and El Cerrito locations. Love their Walnut Prawns and Mongolian beef, must be ordered from the kitchen to be freshly prepared. What Amy Rynearson doesn't like about Chefs Chinese Food:
That's our no 1 little hole-in-the-wall Chinese take out place in El Sobrante on the Dam Road. I'll give their special taste chickenin a 5 mg mmmmmgoood Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
I don’t think I’ll be going back. The restaurant only takes cash, which makes me curious about their reasons for that. The cat fried rice had a sour flavor, and the fish was overly salty, leading me to wonder what might be going on behind the scenes. I miss the time when the mother was in charge instead of the daughter. The portion sizes have also decreased. I used to come here every week with my family, but that’s changed. It’s unfortunate; dining here now feels like a risk. On a positive note, the service was quite good.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! I'm planning to host my son's first birthday party here, featuring chicken wing fountains and gyoza-shaped balloons!
The Chinese food had no flavor, was old, and a bit difficult to eat. It was also very greasy. I was not satisfied with either the food or the price I paid. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant.
We were at the laundromat next door and decided to give this restaurant a try. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, along with the other dishes we tried. We’ll definitely be returning more often! Just a heads up: they only accept cash.
This restaurant has been a beloved part of the neighborhood for many years. I have warm memories of visiting as a child to savor my favorite dish, sesame chicken. It continues to be one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the area. I find this location more appealing than the ones in Richmond and El Cerrito. Their Walnut Prawns and Mongolian Beef are incredibly tasty and should definitely be ordered fresh from the kitchen. I usually choose takeout service when I dine here.
