Menu

A comprehensive menu of Jackson's from El Segundo featuring all 6 dishes and drinks can be found here on the menu.

Jackson’s offers a diverse menu with standout dishes like steak, cod, and short ribs that earn high praise for flavor and quality. The attentive, friendly service balances efficiently between relaxed dining and timely meals, ideal for theatergoers. The ambiance features a rustic, youthful décor, with both indoor and patio seating; however, noise levels rise considerably when busy, potentially impacting quiet conversation. Wine prices and pour sizes may disappoint some, suggesting bringing your own as an alternative. While generally welcoming, occasional service mishaps and comfort issues for seniors have been noted. Overall, Jackson’s is a solid choice for flavorful dining near the theater district.

What MaryL dislikes about Jackson's:
The cocktails were excellent; the corn appetizer was excellent. Everything else, including the service, was disappointing. And it wasn't crowded! I ordered the broccoli salad. It wasn't a salad; it was a stir fry. View all feedback.

Our visit to Jackson’s was very good. The food was excellent and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The noise level in the restaurant rises significantly as the restaurant becomes more crowded. We were on the patio area, which was sparsely populated and suitable for conversation when arrived. However, by the time we were midway through our meal the room was full and the noise level made easy conversation difficult. This is just a function of design, so it’s not really a complaint, just something to be aware of if you’re looking for a quiet dining experience. My only real complaint is with their wine prices and the pour size relative to price for wines by the glass. You’d be much better off bringing your own wine than ordering off their list.

The food was good and tasty. But the service needs a tune-up!

We won't be returning. The lack of courtesy and slow service, along with the experience of dining in a box without any atmosphere, far outweigh any reason to come back.

I had a fantastic evening at the restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch. We never felt rushed at any point during our visit. The short ribs were absolutely amazing!

This place is a wonderful spot for before or after movies at the theater across the plaza. They understand the importance of efficient service to get you to the show on time, and the food is excellent. We especially enjoyed the poached egg, pancetta, mushroom and asparagus appetizer and the ceviche. Nice wine list, too.
