Merit Veggie Place - El Monte

Their shop says they’re open on Sunday till 3pm. I got here at 2pm but they’re closed. Without any explanation, no one picks up the phone.I drove from Pasadena wanting to try this new place since there isn’t a lot of vegetarian Asian food in the area.Really looking forward to try, but also very disappointed.

Giving one star is actually kind considering my bad experience with this place. The owner is extremely rude and crazy! Apparently she doesn't know how run business. I ordered the moon cakes from her. I called the day that the order is supposed to be ready, sadly it was not. She asked me to pick up later, she did not have my order completed. She did not even had the courtesy to come forward to apologize. Sad!

I really enjoyed my experience at Chinese Mom. The food was delicious, healthy, and of high quality. The restaurant was clean and the moms serving the food were friendly and kind. I appreciated that there was no MSG in the dishes. Thank you so much.

The staff always ensures that you have plenty of food to eat :D I have never been able to finish the bento box in a single sitting. The food is also very healthy!
