Happy Garden - El Cerrito

I visited this restaurant about a month ago and ended up going back three weeks in a row! You can't go wrong with anything on this chef's menu. The food is incredible, and as a chef myself, I truly appreciate it. The owner is kind, the flavors are outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. Trust me, you'll want to become a regular here too!

I've been there twice, and they definitely don't hold back on flavor. Their food is absolutely delicious, although it's takeout only. The gentleman who assisted me both times was very kind and answered all my questions. I would have liked a bit more sauce on the Sweet and Sour Chicken, but everything was tasty. I ordered beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli, chow mein, fried rice, and prawns with black bean sauce.

This is the best Chinese takeout I've found in the Bay Area. As a local, I can confidently say that you won’t find anything better. Everything they prepare is exceptional.

I love this food and restaurant. I've been a customer for long time and I've received an excellent attention and the foods delicious. I can highly recommend this place.

Food was hot, fresh and delicious. No seating. I was surprised to see tables lined up blocking the way to the counter. Staff was friendly.
