wow! there are many good homemade tasting, authentic Mexican cuisine in Texas, but jalapeño is a cut above. the freshest food served by friendly staff, and the variety they have to try! I can tell them they won't regret it. I enjoyed cozumel salmon on roasted sweet mais and paprika with a limed cream sauce it came with two tostadas. perfection! View all feedback.
What Robyn Leffler doesn't like about Jalapeno's Cuisine:
Went in Sunday for lunch with the family. Server Angel was inpatient when waiting on us, gave us drinks and never came back to check on us until food came. With staff like that we will not be back. View all feedback.
I recently discovered a new favorite spot in El Campo! It is common knowledge that you can find a good restaurant by following where all the cars are parked, and this is exactly what led us to this hidden gem. We visited on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised to find a buffet being offered. While I usually don't opt for buffets, I couldn't resist trying this one as it offered a variety of dishes beyond the typical cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. What impressed me the most was the diverse selection of dishes, each with its own unique flavor. From steamed clams to Chicken Mole, Carne Guisada, and a Quesadilla made with a sweet pancake-like batter, there was something for everyone to enjoy. As we were settling the bill, we were informed that the buffet was a special offer in celebration of their 5-year anniversary, which left us disappointed that it wouldn't be a regular feature. Nevertheless, we are excited to have found this fantastic restaurant located just a block off 71 in the heart of town.
I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner. The price per person was over $100. The food and service both received a rating of 2 out of 5, while the atmosphere was rated 3 out of 5.
I absolutely adore their mole enchiladas! The waitstaff and atmosphere are both very pleasant. I have enjoyed everything I've tried here. Service is rated 4 out of 5. This is a great spot for a lunch meal, with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person. The food is rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere is a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Enchiladas Mole.
Messy salad was possibly the best salad I have ever eaten! Fresh and bursting with flavor, I got it without meat and it was a meal in itself. Mini tostadas was a meal in itself as well, they were loaded with shrimp and fish ceviche. The Cheesy Poblano soup was superb and satisfying. Prices are super reasonable, staff was friendly and helpful and the place itself was squeaky clean with nice atmosphere. Wish we had this place at home!! Vegetarian options: Great selection of veg options!
