Vanitea Café was a great spot to grab a drink while getting a little work in. Very busy spot especially as the nearby schools were getting out. Delicious macarons (salted caramel and Nutella). Thanks to the ladies at Vanitea View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Vanitea Cafe:
I bought a Thai tea from this place, and the tea was watered and didn't taste right, and the Boba tasted old as it wasn't fresh. I brought it back to them and they wouldn't have a new drink or offer me another. Terrible experience. View all feedback.
I'd rate that a 0 if I had the option. Let me start by saying I came to the Rancho Location and ordered 2 drinks. After waiting, the two employees complained (with me and other customers there) that no one leads them. When I came home, the diligent beverage carrier broke and the drink spilled. I literally live across the street from the store and called 5 minutes after visiting the store. I asked for a remake of my drink and said I had a proof of the drink. You said no to me. They can't do that. I asked to speak to the owner, and the lady I spoke to first said she was the owner, then it quickly changed to ?no, I'm just the store manager.? DANK GOODNESS Kung Fu Tee opens over the road next to Target. I called Kung Fu Tea to ask what their policy is on spilled drinks, and they told me they would make me happy, even for this incident that Vanitea did.
A terrible service. I don't write any reviews at all, but I felt it was necessary here. I went in with my mother and ordered the usual Earl Grey Boba tea or fifty shades. I was not asked if I wanted the tribe or the Great, and I forgot to mention it. After I was given to the members of the tribe, I apologized and said, "I would be happy to pay the difference, I can get a big one. She then said, safe and went into the back and must have diluted the drink with water in a larger cup. I went to my table, took a sip and was shocked. It was like I took a sip with dilute, spiced water. It was terrible. I wanted to ask Isabella and tell her how my drink tastes like water. I really wanted to let her know there was a problem with the one I was handed over. She argued with me because I ordered 25% sugar. I told her Sweet was not a problem, and it wasn't my first time to order this drink. She wouldn't replace it for me and argue. She wouldn't accept how terrible the drink was. I'm not sure if the owners of the place would punish them if they would make me a new drink, but she totally refused to make me a new one. I'm not sure she expected me to drink this disgusting water drink and stay calm. I don't know why it was difficult to replace my drink. After her resistance, I asked for a refund and gave her both drinks to Toss. Your job was customer service and drinks to make and she failed at both.

Best boba in town! I would highly recommend going here when you're in San Diego! Reading all these bad reviews are absurd! I come here at least 5 times each month and none of these have happened to me, the only thing that happened was the Boba shortage, but that was nationally worldwide and not just Vanitea Café. Clear boba is much better than black boba, my guess is they use corn starch or something with it, I don?t know but Vanitea please give me your recipe! My family also agrees with all the things I said, ect. The decoration and the minimalistic vibe is just so nostalgic! I get the Classic Vanitea milk tea w/ boba and lychee. Hope to come again soon!
