Flour Power Cakery - El Cajon

Flour Power is my visit for special occasions. You have a great customer service and delicious cakes. I ordered a marble cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream freezing for my granddaughter's birthday. The cake was enchanting and the guests shaved over the cake. One of the guests was gluten-free, so I got her a cupcake from FP. She loved it.

Flour Power came to the rescue, I had ordered a baby shower cake elsewhere. Upon picking up a day before the shower, we saw the cake was not as expected. At this point we just needed a cute and simple cake to display on the dessert table. My partner starts making calls to different bakeries, thankfully Flour Power was able to make a cute ombré cake it was delicious and it saved the day. Highly recommend, my only regret was not finding them sooner. I would of saved myself the trouble and had them make my cake from the start.

I have been seeing it here for years as my dentist is across the way and decided it was finally time to stop in when I was having a little birthday celebration for one of my sons with his paternal grandparents. I came on a Thursday afternoon and I was helped right away. I ordered 6 cupcakes from their display case. They were beautiful and I couldn't wait to eat them! I also put in some candles I knew my son would love and grabbed an M&M cookie. Lastly, I noticed a Halloween cookie decorating kit and I asked if they did them for Christmas. The staff member said yes and that I could pre-order. I pre-ordered and went on my way. Our cupcakes were good but not the best. I think they weren't fresh and that was the issue. The frosting was great but the cupcake itself was a bit dry. It wasn't lacking on flavor though and I loved it. The frosting wasn't too rich either and I could easily eat it all. My cookie was absolutely delicious. They are my favorite type of cookies and they were the perfect amount of crisp on the outer edges and soft in the middle. A few weeks later I went and picked up my cookie decorating pre order. We decorated that night and I was so happy I decided to do this. Baking cut out sugar cookies is a huge pain the in the butt and I just didn't want to make time to do it. My toddlers loved to decorate the cookies and it was the perfect amount of cookies for us and the frosting and sprinkles were the perfect amount. The cookies tasted great and were once again the perfect ratio of crispy outside and soft inside. Although my cupcake wasn't the best I have had, I wouldn't rule out coming here again. I know I will get more cookie decorating kits and I will likely place an order for cupcakes ahead of time so I can test out the freshness because I really liked the frosting. The cakes they make are also sooo beautiful so I know they would be able to whip up something special.

Flour Power Cake earn so much more than 5 stars! You are a super responsible team that draws attention to every detail that you ask them on your wedding cake. I came to Lauren and she was so friendly in the process of helping me to make the flavors, frosting and cake style. Thank you for my lovely cake. Not only was it beautiful, but also super delicious.

We got a 2-step wedding cake from Flour Power Cakery because they were worked together with our Catererer (Personal Touch Dining), and we added this with leaf cake from Costco to feed all guests. We really have the cake tasting box that it offered and ended the selection of strawberry parrot flavor that was fabulous! I also had a quite specific decoration idea and sent some silk flowers to them along with an inspiration photo about email. The final result was fantastic! I was blown away, it looked so perfect and tasted amazing. I love cakes so there is a lot of pressure on this cake, but it comes! I'd get it back for sure!
