Its location outside of Eitorf, specifically in Rankenhohn, a seemingly remote vil... read more On November 22nd, we were a group of about 20 guests at Balkanhaus Cerekovic. Its location outside of Eitorf, specifically in Rankenhohn, a seemingly remote village, means that walk-in customers are unlikely to be found there. The owners seem to rely on regular customers and word-of-mouth recommendations. I would like to expressly offer and explain one such recommendation. Parking spaces directly at Balkanhaus, making for a short walk to the restaurant, are a welcome feature for those with limited mobility. The tables were beautifully set. Pretzels, chips, olives, and bottles of water were provided as a complimentary touch. The service remained friendly, professional, and consistently attentive throughout our six-hour visit. A single young woman expertly managed the entire dining room. The food, in my case the mixed grill, deserves top marks and impressed us with both its preparation and fair pricing. ... The kitchen also did a perfect job, bringing all orders to the tables very promptly, ensuring that the first orders weren't ready before the last ones were served. Drinks were replenished professionally and quickly. All in all, I can only say thank you for the perfect service and the thoroughly positive impression, which is not always a given in the restaurant industry. I am truly sorry that, due to the combined billing of orders, the dedicated and professional young woman in the service staff received virtually no recognition for her efforts throughout the evening. The mistake was ours and should not have happened. I hope to make amends with my next visit to Balkanhaus, even if it's just with one or two other people.

I will definitely be coming here more often
