Reviews - Lil' Igloo
Reviews summary
Nestled on a one-way street, The Lil Igloo offers a mix of nostalgia and culinary delights for those passing through Edson. While the burgers and fries have drawn mixed reviews for flavors and portions, the standout items include their renowned ice cream and mouthwatering popcorn chicken. Friendly service from the family-run operation adds warmth, although some diners note inconsistent experiences with the husband’s demeanor. Long lines may lead to longer wait times, but patrons rave about the generous portions and tasty surprise menu items, making it a must-visit for ice cream lovers and comfort food enthusiasts alike.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! I have consistently enjoyed delicious food and excellent customer service here. During my most recent visit, the bill was a bit higher than usual because I ordered a large amount of food to enjoy over the next two days. Even though it was a bit expensive, I didn't mind because I knew I would be able to enjoy it for multiple meals. When I went to pick up my order, the staff... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Lil' Igloo:
Good service, but food was pretty mediocre. No salt on my fries, so I added some seat salt at home 10/10. The burger had way too much sauce, it was falling apart and sopping by the time I got home (6km). Good sized burger, will give another try at a different time of day (not at closing). This is the best small burger and donair restaurant I have ever been to. The milkshakes are also top-notch, I would rate them 10/10.
The food was tasty and the shake was amazing, but it was small in size. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the food.
This little drive thru is a must try for anyone passing through Edson. Residents know its fantastic, and has the best ice cream cones known to man. The poutine options are great, and the donairs are fantastic. Prices are reasonable, specially for the quantity and quality of the food. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

I have been to this restaurant several times and I have to say they have never disappointed me. The food is delicious and my wife and kids love this place! The owners are also wonderful people, always smiling and pleasant, and they do a great job of keeping customers happy. Tonight, we were even treated to some deep-fried pierogies while we waited for our food. It was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise! The pierogies were amazing and it's little touches like these that will keep us coming back!
Decent burgers, but it's not much more than a novelty. Fries and gravy had little taste. Basically just made me wish I was eating at jack's drive in (spruce grove). Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10
Soft ice cream in a waffle cone is fantastic! Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20

Lil’Igloo is a charming drive-thru-only independent fast food restaurant located on the westbound side of the highway in Edson. They offer a large menu with a variety of tasty options, including both sweet and savory dishes that can be served hot or cold. Their burgers are generously sized and come with a selection of different toppings to choose from. While the food may take some time to prepare as it is made fresh, the wait is well worth it. Additionally, the staff went above and beyond by providing treats for our dogs in the car, which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this spot!
I absolutely adore the burgers and loaded fries at this restaurant. The food is consistently top-notch and the service is fantastic!
Although I enjoy the food, the restaurant is never open when I try to go there.
Amazing food, great customer service, and a joyful, pleasant atmosphere, honestly one of my favourite places to catch a bite to

The food at this restaurant is incredible. My top picks are the popcorn chicken and the fried pickles. The customer service is exceptional, with friendly and considerate staff. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
Located on a one-way street, this restaurant was a bit challenging to find. When we arrived at 6pm, there was a line of four cars, which made us very excited. Unfortunately, it took over 40 minutes for us to receive our food, as it was drive-through only. I started with the ice cream, which was delicious. The birthday cake dip had white chocolate and sprinkles mixed in, and the soft serve chocolate and vanilla was amazing. The cone was a standard cheap cone. The popcorn chicken was excellent, tasting like real chicken and still hot. The burgers were messy but really good, with lots of sauce, juicy meat, and soft buns. Overall, it was a fun experience with fresh and tasty food, but I would think twice about waiting in line again.
This burger joint is quite charming, located on the side of the road. I always appreciate a small burger shack like this one.
The burger was fantastic definitely a cut above usual fast food. Shake was one of the best I've had. I hope this place does well
