I ordered a salmon combo... read more Ordered today while I was at the Edmonton office from Skip The Dishes and it was terrible. How can they have a 9.8 rating on that app? I ordered a salmon combo and a chicken teriyaki bowl. I threw away the salmon combo because the fish was VERY smelly and the texture was dry. Not to mention the rice was terrible too. I was so offended by that meal that I had to leave this review. This was not the worst sushi I?ve had but officially the 2nd worst. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. How can they serve that? They have no respect for your hard earned money seeing as they?re willing to serve that. Chicken teriyaki bowl was a bit below average. Unfortunately it was not good enough to quell my anger with their salmon combo. Im not an Edmonton resident but my coworkers told me afterwards that they?ve never had a good experience. I should have asked them before I placed that order. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting

My food was lu... read more I used to love this place but not anymore, had a chicken teriyaki bowl and the portion sizes have decreased significantly and so has the quality. My food was luke warm, both the chicken and the rice, absolutely disgusting. I didn't even want to eat it because I wasn't sure whether it had been kept at a safe temperature. Last time I will ever eat at Tokyo express.

Would be... read more I forgot why I don't eat Tokyo Express, so after several years I gave it another try. The shrimp tasted off. The Maki is held together with mayo, yuck! Would be nice if this ingredient was specified on the menu. Chop sticks cost extra, meals come with a plastic fork. The food here is not significantly cheaper than high quality sushi restaurants, they should be able to make better food or charge less for their unfortunate tasting food.

The rice in my rolls was old and dry; I had to quickly get them down for the very little amount I had left on my break due to the length of time it took to make this subparsushi. ~20mins) Pre-pan, this was the place I’d go for quick sushi, but now it would be faster, cheaper and taster to justget gas station sushi.
