At Takopo, the food tasted good overall, but the service left something to be desired during my first visit. The staff seemed more focused on chatting with another customer and didn’t pay much attention to those waiting to order. We also didn’t receive receipts, so several of us were unsure which order belonged to whom. The menu offered decent options, but the atmosphere was a bit lacking. For a takeaway lunch priced between $10–20 per person, I’d rate the food 3 stars, service 3 stars, and atmosphere 2 stars.
I ordered takoyaki from Takopo and ended up with food poisoning, even after confirming if it was fully cooked. The staff was rude when I expressed my concerns, dismissing the issue. After eating six pieces, I started feeling sick within minutes and spent the entire night vomiting and feeling terrible. I’m now severely dehydrated and had to cancel my Christmas plans. Extremely disappointed—avoid this place. Something felt off, whether it was old batter or poor hygiene. Service: 1 Food: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $10–20
Takopo is one of my top picks at the WEM food court! The quality is always outstanding. I love ordering the squid karaage and takoyaki—they’re consistently cooked to perfection, with the squid karaage crispy and full of flavor, and the takoyaki packed with savory goodness. The staff are friendly and always provide excellent service. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious Japanese street food! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
