I was recommended the lunch special Gang Dang, so that 's what I tried. It was 5 spring rolls, cup of rice as well as cup of curry. Had the spring rolls fresh out of the fryer with sweet chili. Just wish it had a little more filling. I ordered the lunch special Thai spicy and it was spicy, but I wish it was a little bit more for my tastes. Curry was very good though and would recommend. What Sarah Mitchell doesn't like about Syphay:
We love Syphay, we usually go to the downtown location, but opted for the south side. The food was amazing as always, we really enjoyed it.The service was adequate at best. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order, and then our server had an attitude the whole time and missed several requests. Usually syphay has much better service, so I hope this was a one off. View all feedback.
My wife and I read some of the posts for this restaurant and felt we needed to check it out for ourselves. We were not disappointed at all, food was fantastic, staff was great. I would suggest to phone ahead for a reservation, we walked in and got lucky to get a table before the place filled up. Definitely a must go if you’re looking for a great restaurant to eat at.

I wish I got photos but stupidly forgot, I had the pad Thai with chicken and the salad rolls. They are amazing. Other people at our table had the green curry and Tom yum soup, it all smells amazing. Probably best Thai food in the city. The only issue was once our food came our server was barley around and we needed more drinks and wanted to order dessert but didn’t because by the time he finally came back we had to leave.

I gotta say, I had a seriously tasty meal at Syphay. The Pad Siew with chicken was just perfect the noodles were cooked just right and the chicken was super tender and packed with flavor. And the spring rolls were hella good, crispy on the outside and filled with yummy goodness on the inside. But the thing that really stood out to me was how chill and friendly the staff were. They made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in the door, and they were totally down to chat and give me the lowdown on their fave dishes. I really appreciated their vibe.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone who's looking for tasty Thai and Laos cuisine in a laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. I’ll be coming back again!
