What User doesn't like about Sakana:
We've been to a lot of Japanese restaurant in town and specifically close the area and I find this Sakana okay and average .The chicken karage is too much breading and takoyaki is a bit salty .The portion is just right for the money .It has good location and spacious .Can be better View all feedback. What User likes about Sakana:
Sakana is a gem in Edmonton - it is centrally located, easy parking and great food. It is a family run business and the chef Justin and his wife are delightful. The food is always good and consistently high quality. We love their summer maki and their unagi don. Their sashimi is always fresh and delicious. We are regular customers and highly suggest it as a place to go to or to order takeout!! View all feedback.

Came to this place with friends when they told me about the $10 deal you get one large and one small maki roll for $10 which is good.
Yesterday we went for lunch on the south side of Edmonton The decor was tacky and cluttered, _I had green tea.

read moreSakana, a Japanese gem in Edmonton, offers delicious food with friendly service. The restaurant is family-owned with a dedicated chef, Justin, who ensures high-quality meals. The summer maki and unagi don are recommended dishes. While service may be slow due to limited kitchen staff, the food quality makes the wait worth it. Regular customers praise the fresh sushi and value for money. Justin's personalized service and unique fish offerings create a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Sakana is an excellent choice for authentic Japanese cuisine with a family-owned ambiance.
This is the best sushi restaurant with excellent customer service. It is definitely one of our favorite dining spots!
This is hands down the absolute best Japanese restaurant! Amazing flavors, selection and freshness for a very good price. Justin is amazing, love this place!
