What Larry H likes about Nomiya:
Been here a few times as my daughter's favorite Sushi place. Food is always good. We both had Bento boxes which offered a lot of selection so you can chose the variety of food that appeals to you. Pleasant venue, good service and very good food. Excellent choice for a Japneses food craving. View all feedback. What Guillem Colunga doesn't like about Nomiya:
This menu is huge! Tons of choices from ramen, to hot entrees, to bento boxes. So many things that I went with a bento box to try a variety. The udon was good, the sushi was alright and honestly I don't really remember much of the meal. I do remember a weird sushi roll on the menu that had gold in it though. Prices were pretty standard for Japanese here in Edmonton, with our bill coming to close to $80-$100 for the t... View all feedback.

read moreA recent visit to Nomiya on Gateway Blvd left a group of diners disappointed with the lackluster and subpar experience. Dishes such as the Maki Sushi, Tempura, and Ramen failed to impress with their freshness and quality, leading to a feeling of dissatisfaction over the pricey cost of the meal. The menu was extensive, offering a variety of Japanese cuisine options, but despite the large selection, the overall dining experience fell short of expectations. On a positive note, other diners found the food at Nomiya to be tasty and flavorful, particularly enjoying the ramen and bento box options. The service was noted as attentive and the restaurant itself was undergoing renovations to improve the dining environment. Overall, opinions were mixed, with some diners expressing a desire to return, while others felt underwhelmed and unlikely to visit again.
Amazing quality, I had the curry katsu and it's so good that it's hard not to order another serving. Ramen noodles were homemade.
