Was Anonym at Mikado a mag?
We've also been to the Mikado in the west end of Edmonton and food at both locations is excellent. However, the downtown location is in dire need of some renos and better cleaning. The chairs and tables are showing a lot of wear and the rug was really dirty. Not sure why a restaurant would have rug instead of tile or vinyl flooring; much easier to keep clean. And the ladies bathroom was not nice at all. Won't return... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Mikado:
Good quality sushi. It's pricy. There are a number of places in Edmonton that give you the best sellers (basic tuna and salmon rolls, sashimi, tempura veg) for much less.If you want a nice night out, with tampopo rooms, attentive service and nice twists on old favourites along with good breadth in available seafood, this restaurant works! My compliments to the team who put the menu together. Very flavorful and artful... View all feedback.
First time come this place, all staffs are greeting us, good food and nice place. Recommend to come.
Had a fun night mostly due to the company I was in and the excellent service. Our server, Ann, was lovely and attentive. The restaurant was over air conditioned and it felt like we were eating in the North Pole. The food was ok. Excellent chicken karaage, sashimi, and rainbow roll. The spicy tuna had an aftertaste that I didn’t love and the chop chop roll wasalmost dry. The worst was the tofu twist. It was smothered with sauce and really goopy. The tofu was soggy. I do not recommend unless what I described sounds delicious to you. I would be back though, the service was great and find the big parking lot downtown to be super convenient.
Very good! The food is excellent, especially for those who enjoy sushi and other Japanese dishes. It's a bonus that it's located very close to MacEwan.
