Description

Put simply: the pizza is invariably delicious and well-made, and the care and consideration in building their menu shows. It's also a little charming to have your pizza served "long form" on a tray! However, the fact that a dietary restricted person who needs a gluten-free crust has to pay extra is disappointing, and only serves to exclude and single out individuals unnecessarily. I urge the restaurant to reconsider this pricing decision and rework the model so that the cost (if there is any extra cost to this??) is "baked into" everything else.

I'm going to have to go against the grain and admit I was quite disappointed with the pizza. Certainly this place has pros and cons to which I will get in a minute. I read several reviews before going and I admit, I was hyped to try it as the comments were great. Is it possible so many people could be hyped about nothing special? Let's see...The pizza is expensive. For two pizzas, it cost around $30. There are 2 types of crusts: very thin white & very thin whole wheat. Pardon me...Gluten free is an extra $3.Its a bit overwhelming because they are not exactly typical pizza ingredients. I wasn't sure what some were. I quickly glanced at the menu overhead and was hesitant to order so I made a point to tell the lady behind the counter we were new to the place. I was met with a very STONE-FACE look. (I'd put her in the dishwasher area away from customers). We picked our own ingredients. I asked for green peppers. She replied, "We don't have green peppers". WHAT? What kind of pizza joint doesn't have green peppers. They have all kinds of stuff like, pulled chicken pesto and such but no GP. Hmmmf! When I think of pizza, I think cheese! They put a light sprinkle of cheese on the sauce to start with (in my case mozzarella ). I mean- very light. I was allowed 4 toppings. I picked 3 and asked for more cheese on top. BUT I HAD TO PAY AN EXTRA $2! C'mon LOVE PIZZA DON'T GO CHEAP ON THE CHEESE! Pizza isn't pizza without cheese!Next up, the pizza comes out and you can add green onions, tomatoes...OK, but HOW DID IT TASTE?Seated at our booth, I asked my husband that same question and he said to wait, he wasn't sure what to make of it yet. After a piece or two, I'd made up my mind that it was a 6.5/10. He agreed. The crust is extremely thin, dry and hard. Don't expect stringy cheese when you pull at your piece here, you won't get it. But, the ingredients taste good. Our kids didn't care for it much. My son said either the sauce or the pepperoni was too spicy. They didn't care for the wafer cookie either. They liked their cans of ice tea, though. One last dig: I didn't really go for eating straight off a tray. All I could think of was high school cafeteria ladies spraying down trays with water. Yuck! I hope their trays go through a heated, sanitized process. Whatever happened to eating off a plate???The Good Stuff:Kids eat free on Sunday (pizza of their choice, a drink, a lame wafer cookie and lame wiki sticks (it's a toy-so to speak)Pick your own topping (Subway style) was nice.Runs through an oven and presto! Ready in minutes! No waiting. You have the choice e to add more toppings at the end. (But you feel like you're putting her out if you do- she seemed slightly annoyed )...no smiles for free here.I'd say people who rave about this place really like the Subway style pick-your-own-toppings idea. I think so too. I also think I have to get some Tums to calm this pizza sauce induced heartburn. Adios! My rating: 2.5/5

Two of us went on a Friday nightPros: Staff were excellent at providing suggestions + knowledgeable about the product. Excellent wine selection (and a great prosecco) all for one price -- $35. Pizza was good + quick. Great fresh + local ingredients. Think Subway of pizza -- you pick the ingredients + they make it for you. Lots of take out and delivery while we were theirCons: Sustainability. The restaurant promotes supporting local sourced ingredients, but has plastic everywhere! The water is served in throw away plastic glasses, all cutlery is throw away plastic + if you order a salad it comes in a recycle container with a plastic lid. Please invest in our planet + supply reusable items.
