What User likes about Ichiban Japanese:
My wife and I go almost once a week their seafood shell is fantastic also shrimp dishes are great. Service is always excellent and the staff very helpful. This is a hidden gem in Edmonton we always go early to make sure we get in. Prices are great for the excellent quality. This is a MUST in west Edmonton. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Ichiban Japanese:
The food here was really so-so but price was pretty standard. Deep fried squid was cut into many small pieces so the portion looked big. Tempura batter quality was not authentic, more toward Chinese deep fried food. Sushi and sashimi was okay, not particularly exciting....The fish in the sushi and sashimi was pretty basic. Price wise, it wasn't cheap, similar to the Japanese restaurants in Calgary. You won't lose any... View all feedback.

read moreIchiban Japanese restaurant offers standard-priced food with mixed reviews on taste. The portion sizes are generous, but some dishes like tempura and sushi fall short of expectations. Service is decent, and the restaurant is clean. Despite some negative reviews, many customers find the food fresh, delicious, and the sushi top-notch. Overall, it's a good spot for Japanese cuisine, with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. The bento box is recommended for a variety of dishes, and the maki rolls are larger than average. If you're looking for quality sushi in Edmonton, this could be the place for you.
