The Huma restaurant in Edmonton is a colorful and welcoming spot serving up delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. While some patrons found the prices a bit high and had service issues, others raved about the fresh food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere. From tasty Chicken Enchiladas to mouthwatering Chorizo Tacos, there is something for everyone on the diverse menu. With generous portions and a true Mexican vibe, The Huma is a must-visit destination for those looking for an authentic dining experience in Edmonton. Don't miss out on trying the Tres Leches Cake for dessert!.
Very unassuming from the outside.......a small strip mall on the corner of 99st and argyle.......Inside......clean, bright,colourful.......and.....nicely Mexican!!!Good menu, good food and good service.I thought it seemed a little pricey, but I would go back. Very accommodating on allergy diviation and knowledgeable about the menu details.
Host took a couple seconds getting to the door. Went on a Saturday night and it was super busy. It was a 20 minute wait for walk ins. Some sketchy characters around the area and an adult store right next door. Food was fantastic. Hindered by an angry couple who was waiting -- don't understand why you would go out to eat if you minded waiting? Our waitress forgot the complimentary sauces sadly. The tacos weren't bad. Chicken ones are definitely the best. Fast once you ordered. Desserts were amazing. Definitely would come back again, but only with a reservation or during a time less busy.
The Huma appears to be very busy during the lunch hour rush. The wait was worth it. The Chicken Enchilada was very well prepared. The complementary sauces were pretty good. It is advisable to have a reservation during the normal rush hour. Or go after 1:30 PM to avoid the log jam.
I had an amazing dining experience! The Tostada De Tinga was incredibly flavorful, and the Shrimp Empanada was served warm and delicious. I was also very pleased with the Chicharrones!
Was rather disappointing, to be honest. The salsa roja was very watery. The corn was like canned corn, not Mexican street corn. The heuvos rancheros was unlike any weve ever had, and not in a good way. But I did appreciate the packing of the prodict which kept everything from getting soggy, which hasnt been the case with many other restaurants.
